Retouching

When you receive your photographs, you'll receive finished proofs. Retouching professional photos can be simple or it can really bring a photo alive. Typically I can remove a blemish or a bruise in just a few seconds. I only retouch or remove parts of a body that were not there to begin with. Think zits and rashes. Other improvements (like digital liposuction) might take more time. Given enough time, I can help a double chin and I can make anyone smaller, taller, wider, or shorter. In many cases, I will have removed minor distractions.

With most male headshots, I don't typically do a ton of retouching as it can make men appear plastic-looking. Female headshots receive skin smoothing and eye brightening. While I can remove things you personally don't like about yourself, I want you to look like you. Heavy photoshopping to the point you resemble Britney Spears isn't the goal. I want you to feel confident and real when you view the photos.

I recently did a photo session where the client said "I hate every single photo ever taken of myself" and in true Barney Stinsey fashion I said, "Challenge accepted!" The client received their photos back and said they were so happy that they cried. They not only found one they LOVED, but they also couldn't find one they DIDN'T love. That is why I love my job, and why you need to hire me.
