This photo features A couple kissing on the Old Northern Avenue pedestrian bridge that used to link South Boston’s Seaport District and the Financial District. Sadly, the bridge has been closed since 2014 due to safety While the bridge is now closed, there were plans as recent as 2020 to rebuild the walking bridge over the Four Point Channel, and the new design ideas are absolutely beautiful.
The north end was settled in the 17th Century and is Boston's oldest residential area. In today's world, the North End is known for its amazing Italian Eateries and is known as "Little Italy" to the locals. The North End is almost neatly comprised of two main thoroughfares, Salem Street and Hanover Street. These two streets house some of the best places to eat and grab dessert. To the tourists, Mike's Pastries is a hot spot to hit. Food is not the only draw to the north end. While you can get a great Italian pastry you can also stroll along the Boston Waterfront with views of Logan Airport and the U.S.S Constitution, which is the oldest commissioned warship in the world. She was built in the1700s under the direction of our first US President George Washington. She was used in war and as a shipping vessel before being rehabbed in a dry dock and then put back out as a historic museum.
With its rich history, the North End makes a great spot for Engagement Sessions. You can find spots in hidden alleys or right on the waterfront to make your engagement photos rock!
