If you are looking for a great view of the Boston Skyline to surprise propose to your fiancé, look no further than LoPresti Park. The park is also known as the Senator Michael Lopresti Sr. Park
Senator Michael Lopresti's claim to fame was that he was the only elected official never to lose an election. He served Suffolk and Middlesex District since 1973.
The park also goes by other names such as the North Ferry Park which was there prior to the now known LoPresti Park. The park was actually a ferry stop that was mainly a passenger ferry that from Battery Wharf to help commuters. People from East Boston used the ferry to get to Boston as its right over the harbor. Its not just the views people come for. There is a great restaurant called Reelhouse and 4 acres of parks. People come from all over to enjoy the view, soccer, basketball courts and the playground. The park originally opened in 1977 and is maintained by the City of Boston.
If you haven't stopped by to see the view of the city, I highly recommend popping over! Its an easy drive!
