Wychmere Harbor Club is one of the premier wedding venues on the Cape. Located in Harwichport, Massachusetts, off Route 28, it overlooks Wychmere Harbor, adjacent to Stonehorse Yacht Club.
A fun fact about Wychmere Harbor is that it is one (or used to be) of the most photographed spots in the world. Back in the 80's the beach club was known to have a 5-story hotel right on the harbor, along with small little bungalows overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The previous owners (Dr. Fennells) created what was known as Thompson's Clam Bar. One of the only waterfront restaurants on the Cape. With its huge garage doors and rustic wood, it was a tourist trap that brought in over 1 million dollars a day in the summer.
After Dr. Fenell died, the property changed and the hotel was knocked down, and the beach club shut. A big green was errected and the club sadly sat in a state of it's former self. It was then converted to a new beach club and Thompsons Clam Bar was renovated to the luxurious wedding venue it is today.
