The Wayside Inn has a church, shown here in a wedding photo of the bride and her dad walking down the aisle and it is a dream for photographers. Martha Mary Chapel is one of the cutest little chapels in New England.
The Wayside Inn was once referred to as How's Tavern. It's named changed to Longfellow's Wayside Inn after people flocked their to pick up copies of Longfellow's tales. The Wayside Inn as it's known is a popular destination in Wayland for weddings.
The Inn was founded in 1707 and commissioned by Henry Ford! Located near the Grist Mill of the Wayside Inn in Wayland Massachusetts on US-20 and and 5 miles from exhibits at Danforth Art.
I have found that this area (located 12 miles West of Waltham) is a must see in New England. In the fall people flock to the Grist Mill for fall portrait photos and the quint New England feel. The leaves on the old trees turn colors that are amazing for a family fall portrait.
Location: 72 Wayside Inn Rd, Sudbury, MA 01776.
