Oakley Country Club Wedding Photos

Fall weddings are one of the most popular in New England. People love the colors, and you have such a color palette to pick from. The one thing we don’t love is the unpredictable weather! It can be 65 and clear, 79 and humid , or we could have snow or rain. Tiffany ended up with what I would call a typical fall day in New England. It did rain some, but it was cool out and wedding photographers LOVE it when its cool out.

I, being almost 9 months pregnant, brought along my good friend and trusted second shooter, Erin Curran from Erin Curran Photography. Erin and I always have so much fun shooting together, and I can always trust her to do a great job! Below is Tiffany and David’s wedding from October at the Oakley Country Club in Watertown. It’s a hidden gem of a location if you ask me!

I always like to ask my brides a few basic questions so other brides have ideas for their weddings. One of my favorites to ask is if they would change anything about their wedding. When Tiffany responded, it was the answer “Nothing!” I also like to ask if there are tips they would offer to other brides, and Tiffany said, “A little DIY can save a lot of money!”

When I asked Tiffany what was her favorite part of the wedding, her answer surprised me. She said “The vows. Even though we were surrounded by 130 of our family and closest friends, it felt like we were the only two people in the room.”

For their honeymoon Tiffany and David went to went to an all-inclusive resort in St. Lucia and “loved it!” They chose St. Lucia initially because they wanted to do something tropical that had a minimal chance of getting hit by a hurricane in October. Luckily, they only ended up with a tropical storm but it only affected them for a day and a half.

For vendors, Tiffany asked her friends for their recommendations, and I will tell you, she found a GREAT photographer at her friends wedding. Kristen and Jon got married last year, and Tiffany spoke to me then, and booked me practically on the spot. A wonderful and flattering thing to say the least! I realize now, I never blogged their Warren Conference Center Wedding. I’ll add that to my blog list!
