I know I promised to post some photos last week, but posting from my phone didn’t go so well. Kauai was an amazing place, beautiful, and mountainess. We some some great sites.
Below are a few photos from my trip. I have other photos to post of my portrait sessions from a couple weeks ago. Stay tuned for more photos this week.
Our first stop was to the famous Bubba’s Burgers. I do have to say – they were good!
We stayed at a place called the Dali Hale Secret Beach House
This is a view from the deck. This house has one of the best views on the entire island of Kauai. Secret Beach has a public access point, but the part of the beach we had access to is private. The public can get to it, but you have to time the tides and walk carefully. It’s a bit of a hike from the public part of the beach but worth the walk. This home has been featured on the Fine Living Network and Golf Magazine.
In the morning, while sitting and drinking coffee you’d see spinner dolphins jump out of the water and Humpback whales breaching right out by the island.
On one of the days we went to the beach and watched some of our friends learn how to surf. I didn’t bring my zoom lens for any good photos of them in the water, but they did end up catching a few waves. It looked like so much fun, I wish I had tried it!
I do have to say that Kauai and the secret beach house are a great place for a wedding. It turns out they host destination weddings at the Secret Beach House. It has a fabulous lawn for weddings and the Secret Beach House sleeps up to 22 people!
We had a group of 17 and it worked out great!
