North End Engagement Photographers

I love the North end, as an engagement photographer. The North End of Boston is known as Little Italy due to the huge Italian population in the area that settled there in 1890. It sits right on the waterfront of the Boston Harbor and stares at the Moakley Court House across the way.

It's one such picturesque area of Boston and why engagement photos thrive there! Most people think of Cobblestone streets in the north end, the area is actually known for pavers which are different. The North End is easily accessed from the north of Boston right over the Zakim Bridge off 93. From the south, you come down 128 to 93 and through the tunnel to the government center exit. It will spit you out right at Christopher Columbus Park which is a great meeting spot. It sits right on the waterfront and follows along the Harborwalk. The Harborwalk is a walkway open to the public to enjoy over miles of shoreline views. The harbor walk zig zags out of Charlestown, along the North end all the way over to the Seaport district.

For parking in the North end, there are Wharf Parking lots along Commercial Street. Most are paid lots, and there are a few underground garages at the local hotels such as the Boston Harbor Hotel. If you can't find parking there, you can zip over the bridge to the seaport district and park over by the Joseph Moakley Court House. The nice thing about Boston is that it's completely walkable if you are able to do it!

The North end houses some of the best restaurants in the area. You can walk between Faneuil Hall and the north end in just a few minutes. You are a short distance from the Boston Aquarium.
