A couple stands in front of a red barn wall at the Smolak Farm in North Andover for their engagement photography. The farm is one of my favorite spots for any kid and it's great for couples too. It's a popular wedding venue for outdoor weddings.
This farmland was the result of glaciers passing over the area first settled by Native Americans and then colonized by English settlers. Martin and Magdalena Smolak first ran it and is now run by his grandson. The Polish family has lived on the farm for over 300 years. The land is protected by the Massachusetts Agriculture Preserve and on any given day you can find remnants of the Indian Tribes that lived on the land.
Located off Route 114 through a residential neighborhood, just a few miles down the road from Merrimack College, Smolak Farms is a place to see animals and pick your fruits and vegetables and pick up their famous cider donuts. They also have a reception venue to house weddings and a farm for birthday parties, what more do you need?
This location is a hidden gem off the beaten path for couples and families and your most treasured photos!
