Bass Hole Engagement Photos

On a cold rainy day on the Cape a bride and groom stop for a kiss during their engagement photos on the boardwalk of Grey's Beach, also known as Bass Hole. It's a very beautiful beach and has a gorgeous boardwalk. I had the couple walk out onto the boardwalk and use the railing to add some interest to the frame. The colors of their jackets really seem to bring some contrast to the photo. I just love the way the flats over to the right hug the couple. I wanted to keep them in focus as much as possible but blur out the railing and the background. I used my long lens and backed WAY up on the dock. My goal was to get some really natural nature photos of the two of them. The Cape was really important to them, as they were getting married there as well. I was a little disappointed by the rainy cold day, but they were such troopers! We also were able to squeeze in a few photos with their dog and they were so much fun. I am such a dog person!

I get asked all the time: What are the best beaches on the Cape for Photography?

Below is a list of beaches that I love on the Cape for Engagement and Portrait Photography

Seagull Beach

West Dennis Beach

Scargo Tower

Mayflower Beach
Chapin Beach

Gray's Beach

Nauset Beach

All have a variety of things to offer from wide open spaces to seagrass.

Location: Grey's Beach, Yarmouth, MA 02675.
