A couple stands under a tree in the sun backlighting them as they are forehead to forehead. Heather and Chris are one of my best friends. I have known Chris for over 20 years! he's one of my oldest and closets friends. He's that one friend that if you need to know dirt on me, he's your guy! Heather and Chris met well at the Banstead Road Race up in New Hampshire. Chris is an avid runner and had just won the race, and Heather was hanging out waiting to get her medal as well. Chris remembers seeing her at past road races but never had the nerve to talk to her. After a few brief encounters he finally asked her out. When they asked me to do their engagement photos I was thrilled. Heather is a Martha stewart reincarnated and had an entire theme for her shoot. She wanted the shoot to have a vintage feel. She went out and bought an entire slew or props. She had a little red wagon, some vintage books, a quilt her mother made, wine glasses and shoes. The shoes she brought were SO cool. They were a patten leather read and matched the feel of the shoot. She had a bit of a challenge trying to get Chris to dress up for the part, so he stuck with basic gray and jeans. I love this photo because of the framing and the way the light hits them. The reeds in the background really added some extra element. I love Heather's vintage dress and if you could have seen her feet you would have seen the killer red shoes she had on that matched.
