Maudsley State park is one of the most picturesque places for engagement photos in Newburyport because of the vast land and wonderful nooks and crannies.
At Maudsley you have rolling hills and tall towering pine trees as well as mountain Laurel that is naturally growing on its on and has been there since the first owners. Its amazing that the Mountain Laurel is still growing on the property because it needs a little bit of care to survive the harsh New England winters and hot summers.
In this photo taken at Maudsley, A couple stands under a tree in the sun backlighting them as they are forehead to forehead.. When this couple asked me to do their engagement photos. The bride wanted the shoot to have a vintage feel. She went out and bought an entire slew or props. She had a little red wagon, some vintage books, a quilt her mother made, wine glasses and shoes. The shoes she brought were SO cool. They were a patten leather read and matched the feel of the shoot. She had a bit of a challenge trying to get Chris to dress up for the part, so he stuck with basic gray and jeans. I love this photo because of the framing and the way the light hits them. The reeds in the background really added some extra element. I love Heather's vintage dress and if you could have seen her feet you would have seen the killer red shoes she had on that matched.
