The Fort Point Park location featured in this photograph includes a portrait of a couple during their engagement session. It's one of the best locations for portrait photography that features the Boston skyline.
Located near the Children's Museum on Congress St and near downtown, Fort Point refers to the waterfront area including the Fort Point Channel.
This area was founded in the 1830s. The name Fort Point came from the cannon battery that protected Boston harbor.
I've found that this area, located near the center of the waterfront and in front of the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse, provides me with a perfect background for family and couples portrait photography. Typically, the best time to capture a photo of the skyline from this location is in the late afternoon, because the sun is behind the buildings and creates a warm and attractive light for photography.
