Fall Engagement photos

Fall Photos New England

This could be one of my oldest photos on my site. I want to say that I took this fall photo back in 2006.  Erin and Kevin contacted me to do their wedding and engagement session.  They lived further down on the south shore so I suggested we meet at Blue Hills Reservations.    I am so glad we did because the fall colors were just so pretty!  Erin was a small thing and Kevin was so tall.  I knew I wanted a photo of them kissing,  but their height difference made it difficult.  I ended up asking Kevin to come over to Erin and pick her up.  He was so tall that he was able to pick her up off the ground and spin her around.  It was the perfect shot, because you have the fall colors and you have her kicking her legs up, truly being swept off her feet. This photo is one of my most re-pinned photos on Pinterest.  A lot of people search for this kind of color in the fall for photos

When Should I schedule engagement photos?

I often encourage clients to schedule their engagement photos 6 months out from their wedding.  Fall always seems to be the busiest.  If you are thinking you want engagement photos in the fall make sure you contact a photographer soon.  If you have already signed up with a photographer in another state for your wedding, you can absolutely hire someone for engagement photos in Massachusetts.    Just make sure you know what you want to do with the photos

What do people do with engagement photos?

Most clients just want to have one big photo with a mat around it to frame and hang on the wall.  Once and awhile you get someone that wants to create a signature book.  A signature book at your wedding is a great keepsake that you can have all your wedding guests sign, have a place to put all the engagement photos and put away to look at for years to come.     You can even order a 3D Image wheel and give them out to your parents as a thank you!
